Did this problem appear in all Workbooks?

Did you activate the Office application?

Thanks for your reply but I am sorry to tell that I still fail to edit the sheet.

And yes, the problems apply to all the workbooks.

If the problem is still existed, you can try to troubleshoot Office for Mac issues by completely uninstalling before you reinstall:
