I have to use the authenticator app as a way to sign in to my personal work emails. This wasn't a problem until i had to get a new phone and reinstall the outlook app and the authenticator app. Now i can no longer long in to my work email address. I use the outlook app to keep my work emails seperate from my private. So when i open that app and select the email address it automatically opens the authenticator app and asks me to approve sign in by opening my authenticator app... but the app is already open! I have tried talking to our companies head office and they say they can not help me and i need to unregister my device or something with microsoft as they can not help me. how do i do that?

Accessing my old phone is not an option (it died completely) and unfortunately it was all so new on my old phone that i didn't have a chance to back it up yet.

Iv now deleted all apps from my phone and would just like to be able to start over completely new like it was the first time ever logging in.

    Hello,

If your email is on Office 365, your company IT should be able to reset your MFA registration so that you would go trough the process again and setup authenticator on you new phone.
