Hello, There.

From 2 days ago, thhe problem below started appearing for all users. Please help...

'Office 2016 (16.0.4266.1001) 64bit, Windows 10 20H2 or 21H2'

Problem: Search not working normally in Outlook 2016

  • Current Mailbox: Not working
  • All Mailbox or all outlook items: No problem.
  • If uncheck the exchange cached mode option, no problem.

Tried these but didn't solve it.

  • index rebuild
  • location check in indexing options
  • indexing status check
  • Outlook Indexing Group Policy Setting: Not configured
  • Recreate the profile(ost)
  • Repair office
  • Windows Search restart and run the troubleshooter

What Windows update patches are likely conflicting? or Are there other possible reasons for this problem?

Most users have been experiencing this problem at the same time.

    Solution:

    After adding the below registry key, the problem was solved.

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Search << DisableServerAssistedSearch(DWORD32, value 1)
