Hi all,

For a week our clients cannot create a Tab on Microsoft Teams, when they try to make a tab then shows a scope permissions error message.

Hey I we have the same problem.
It seems to happen when you try to make a new tab after recently creating or opening a Word/Excel file in the same team. I think it only effects Word and Excel tabs.

I found a workaround that can be used until the error is fixed:
Change to a different tab that is not a file storage tab.
Then you can create a new tab using the plus sign on the tab bar.

RE: Affected file types, we're seeing it with PPT, too (see image). The standard + icon in the channel header option still works (but, infuriatingly, is far less useful now that it defaults not to the current channel files, or even to the current team, but to everything in MS365, forcing me to navigate multiple extra clicks to get to a file!).

Another workaround would be to go the the tab toolbar, click the + icon, click Excel, double click "My files", and select your desired file.
