More info may help to resolve the issue :

Exchange is on-premises

issue with some users and shared between databases and exchange servers

user can view information from web

Inside and outside org network facing the same issue

Profile reset, reinstall office, login to new device have been tested and not working

one machine was working fine but after updating the office the issue occurs

update Microsoft® Outlook® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2302 Build 16.0.16130.20298) 64-bit

and I found the same issue in another ORG and it is showing randomly with no shared reason!

Thank you.

    Hi @Hamza H. BaAgeel ,

This issue occurs if the following policy registry key is applied in your organization:

    Subkey: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\SocialConnector
    DWORD: DownloadDetailsFromAD
    Value: 0

To resolve this issue for a recipient that exists in the GAL and includes information, remove the registry key that's mentioned in the "Cause" section. Additionally, the DownloadDetailsFromAD setting is typically set by a Group Policy Object (GPO). Therefore, you can also use Group Policy Object Editor to manage the setting.

    1. Start Group Policy Object Editor or Group Policy Management Console.
    2. Under User Configuration, expand Administrative Templates > Microsoft Outlook 2016, and then select the Outlook Social Connector node.
    3. Double-click the Do not download photos from Active Directory setting, select Disabled or Not Configured, and then select OK.

    Hi @Jame Xu-MSFT ,

After multiple troubleshooting between devices, I found that users are using different update channels which make it happen randomly.

I was right at some point when I said the issue started after updating the office 365 but I was looking in the wrong place for the update version.

I roll back to old version of office 365 and it works.

below working versions with command to roll back:

    Current channel

    "C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun\officec2rclient.exe" /update user updatetoversion=16.0.16026.20146

    Enteprises Monthly channel

    "C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun\officec2rclient.exe" /update user updatetoversion=16.0.16026.20238

    and to switch between channel

    Current

    "C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun\officec2rclient.exe" /changesetting channel=Current

    MonthlyEnterprise

    "C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun\officec2rclient.exe" /changesetting channel=MonthlyEnterprise

I have tested the new Current Channel builds below but didn’t work

    Version 2302 (Build 16130.20332)

    Version 2302 (Build 16130.20306)

    Version 2302 (Build 16130.20218)

    Version 2301 (Build 16026.20200)

for Enterprise builds it is working fine

    Thank you.
