As part of our course our students needs to learn how to install Windows? How would I setup a lab so it's in the state of installing Windows when it is turned on and in that case how could they access it. Am I on the right track to setup a Nested VM and use a hyper-V VM to install windows. This is actually a very basic course where they learn to navigate the windows desktop, but there is also a course requirement to install Windows so I need to find a super simple way for them to demonstrate they can do it.
They will need to do a screen recording of the installation.

Hi,
You need to use nested virtualizzation. So use Hyper-V.

The only part I would skip from the guide is the DHCP role. Just assign a static IP address to your Windows virtual machine. Make sure your students don't modify their Azure Lab's VM network configuration because that will put your machine to a halt state, and you won't be able to connect to it again unless you reset the machine.
Don't give the Administration permission to the students (you can do so ONLY if you use Lab Plan). Configure your template Policies so that it prevents normal users from fiddling with sensitive stuff like IP configurations, Sysprep, etc.

Might check with the pc manufacturer about supported operating systems and versions. Then you can boot from the installation media, then delete / recreate partition, and follow the prompts to complete the install.
