Azure Subscription permissions broken after account hack

Our Office 365 account was compromised.

The bad actors have setup an Azure subscription that didn't previously exist.

They've somehow locked the account down so we cannot interact with the subscription at all.

If we attempt to add a co-administrator, we receive the following error.

  • Failed to add co-administrator Failed to add recovery account as co-administrator : The current subscription type is not permitted to perform operations on any provider namespace. Please use a different subscription.. a few seconds ago

We can't log a support request, because we receive the following error.

  • Support Extension Warning Message: Sorry, you don't have permission to create a support request. Please check your permissions and contact the owner of this resource.

I'm stumped as to what the best course of action is here.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

    Hello Brett,

I'd recommend either using Online Support (submitting a ticket as a Global Administrator on the Admin Center):

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/get-help-support?view=o365-worldwide#online-support

    Or phone support for business:
