Hello @Handian Sudianto Thank you for posting your question on Microsoft Q&A platform. Happy to help!
I see that you have questions around Azure VM backup pricing. For Azure backup you will be charged for the compute (VM) + storage consumed.
- If you're backing up the data to Azure, you will be billed for protected instance + Storage cost
- If you're backing up the data locally, you will be charged for the protected instance.
Recommend you refer examples from the pricing page.
See if - Monitoring and reporting solutions for Azure Backup helps in your case.
Update:
Is Instance same as VM, so if we backup 2 VMs is same this is 2 Instance?
- YES!
For storage consumed, how we can know how big the backup will consume the capacity?
Depends on factors such as the size of the data to be backed up, the retention period, and the storage redundancy level.
There is extra cost when change from daily to every 4 hours?
You will be billed for the change in churn rate between every 4 hours.
Can i know estimate cost when the backup run daily and when change to 4 hours?
The bulk of your costs typically come from data ingestion and retention policy for the backups. It's difficult to give accurate estimates for data volumes that you can expect because they'll vary significantly based on your configuration.
How big backup file when the backup run daily and when change to 4 hours?
If you know how big your data is and the chrun rate every 4 hours, then you should be able to estimate size of backup file.
