Anti-spam policy set to default is now all of a sudden quarantining internal users emails

Hi All,

I have several users complaining that emails they have sent or received from some internal users are missing or sent to junk folder.

I haven't changed any policies in a while and this wasn't happening past a few days ago. Wondering if anyone can give any help or dealing with the same thing.

Thank you for asking this question on the Microsoft Q&A Platform.

First, you must determine the reason the emails were filtered as spam or quarantined:

You can determine the reason by viewing the quarantined email in the Microsoft 365 Defender portal at https://security.microsoft.com. The portal provides detailed information about why an email was filtered as spam or quarantined.

Knowing the reason, you can resolve any situation.

If you can determine the reason, please share some screenshots of the quarantine emails.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi @Sunnyk-IT ,

According to my search, I found a similar thread, the problem is caused by users configuring spam rules in the mobile mail application. Rules are only visible and active in this app, not in Outlook or Exchange.

More details, see: All Internal emails are going in to Deleted\Junk folder and there are 'no rules' at all.
