Global address list does not show all groups

We are experiencing two issues in Outlook that is connected to an on-premises Exchange Server 2013. We believe that they may be related.

Issue 1

In "Active Directory Users & Computers", we created a new group (Scope: Global; Group Type: Security).

On a desktop computer, the Outlook is connected to the Exchange server. We created a new calendar. In the calendar's properties, we go to the permissions tab and click on the add button. When we search for the new group in the Global Address List it is missing.

We tried it in both cached and "non-cached" mode.

Issue 2

In cached mode, we go to the "Send / Receive" tab and then go to "Send/Receipt Groups > Download Address Book". We get the error message "Task '<email address>' reported error (0x8004010F): 'The operation failed. An object cannot be found.'

In both cases, this happens on all computers.

    Hi @Georges Carraha ,

    1.Do you have mailboxe enabled for this security group? If not, enable it with the following PowerShell command.

    In addition, the scope of the security group cannot be set to Global (it will fail to enable), it is recommended that you change it to Universal.

    Enable-DistributionGroup -Identity "securitytest"

    2.You can try to recreate the Outlook profile or create a new OAB and assign it to the database, please refer to the steps in this post: Outlook send/receive download address book error.
