Error when accessing Synapse SQL Pool

Error Message:
"You don't have access to the serverless SQL pool, Built-in. To be granted access, contact a Synapse Administrator for this workspace."
Issue:
I am getting the error above when trying to access the build-in sql pool within my synapse workspace.
Attempted Solutions:
- Granted myself synapse administrator role and Synapse SQL administrator role within the workspace
-
- Double-checked the firewall
- cleared cookies and cache, private browser, log in and out

This is strange that though your user account has been granted the Synapse Administrator and SQL administrator roles, you were not able to access the buit-in serverless pool. Seems like you have tried all the recommendations provided in the public documentation but the issue persists.
Hence would recommend filing a support ticket for deeper investigation and please do share the SR# for tracking it. In case if you don't have a support plan, please let me know so that I can work with you offline in opening a one time free support ticket.
