How to bring laptop files back from One Drive synch ... cloud resident

Windows 11 Pro, Current build The laptop is setup to hold all folders in One Drive. Don't know how that was setup on my daughter's laptop. How do I reverse this and bring the data back locally to the laptop and selectively synchronize folders to One Drive but keep local on laptop?
