Hello all,

I've just switched to a new Outlook... well, first at all it reset my reading preferences. Need to find where the settings are hidden this time... But the worse problem is that all folders are sorted alphabetically again, and not the way I need. I tried to move the folder above but I can't put it between other folders, but only put it as a subfolder! I can't move folder "TO DO" between "Posteingang" and "Entwürfe"... It can be only a subfolder like "TO DO Now". How to fix it?

todo

Thank you in advance!

    Hi @Anahaym ,

I'm sorry that brought you a bad experience.

Folder reordering is currently not supported in New Outlook for Windows, and this work is in progress and will be available in the future.

If any of those limitations are critical for your work, we recommend you stay in the classic Outlook until they are resolved, or you can switch the toggle to go between apps as often as you want.

The fact that something that has been standard in all Outlooks and is now "NOT" is wild!

    Greetings!

To move an Outlook folder between two other folders, follow these steps:

In Outlook, locate the folder you want to move in the folder pane on the left side of the screen.

Click and hold the folder you want to move, then drag it to the desired position among the other folders.

While dragging the folder, you'll notice that a horizontal line appears, indicating the placement of the folder. Position the folder between the two desired folders.

Release the mouse button to drop the folder into its new position.

By following these steps, you should be able to move the Outlook folder to the desired location among other folders, rather than making it a subfolder.

    Hope it helped!
