How to connect a local VM Oracle from an Azure Linux VM?

I created an Azure Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.7 (Ootpa) VM running on Azure Japan East POD.

In my laptop, I have started one local Window VM with Oracle running using portal 1521 for client access.

I want remotely send request from Azure Linux VM to my local Window VM to access that Oracle.

Could you tell me how can I setup the Outbound port rules based on that Azure Vmware?

Thanks a lot.

Scott

    @Scott Yang

    You have a Red Hat VM running on Azure VMware solution and want to allow outbound internet access to your local VM on port 1521. Let me know if I am misunderstanding the issue.

    You can enable outbound access in Azure for VMware by configuring Outbound Internet access using Managed SNAT in the Azure portal. Here are the steps:

    1. Log in to the Azure portal and then search for and select Azure VMware Solution.
    2. Select the Azure VMware Solution private cloud.
    3. In the left navigation, under Workload Networking, select Internet Connectivity.
    4. Select Connect using SNAT button and select Save.

    Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions or issues.

    @Scott Yang

    I think there was some confusion since you marked this as Azure VMware Solution. From your screenshots it looks like you have a normal Azure Linux VM and you are not using Azure VMware. Your network security group already has an outbound rule which allows all outbound traffic to the internet.

    The issue is likely with the VMware configuration on your laptop. Please ask your question on the VMware Community forum. The experts there should be familiar with the configuration and be able to assist you.
