Good Morning,

I have been searching and searching for a reason why when my users go to open a document via file explorer or word everything appears fine however when they attempt to open a second file from word they are presented with the sharepoint site and not the local path already sync'd through the one drive client. It looks like this for a graphic example.. ( not my server ).

Defaulting to the site is extremely frustrating for the clients as they are unable to open multiple files, make new folders etc from this view but if they go back to the sync folders it works fine all be it a waste of time. I feel like their must be a silly/obvious reason for this that I am just not seeing so if someone out there could educate me on why this is occurring and how I could disable this redirection it would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

Did this problem appear in specific user?

    How about other Office products?

I suggest you go to File- Options- Save- make sure you have check the option "Save to Computer by default":
