Greetings All,

I'm considering purchasing Microsoft Outlook 2021 for my current PC so that I can transfer all my emails and contacts from Windows Live Mail to it. However, I'm am going to purchase a new PC in the very near future and wish to transfer the Outlook license on my old PC to the new PC. Obviously, I also want to be able to install Outlook on the new PC as well. So, my question is: how exactly do I do all that?

By the way my current PC has Windows 10 Pro installed but the new PC will have Windows 11 Pro installed. Is this a problem?

Kind regards

    Hi @RobDev ,

You need to uninstall it before activating it on the new computer.

    • Uninstall Office from the original computer.
    • On the new computer, sign in to your My Account page and click Install. After you finish installing, you may be asked to activate Office over the phone.

By the way my current PC has Windows 10 Pro installed but the new PC will have Windows 11 Pro installed. Is this a problem?

You can go to aka.ms/systemrequirements to see compatible Windows 11, Windows 10, and macOS versions and other feature requirements.

When purchasing a license that gets added to your Microsoft account (which is normally the case? you can transfer the license to a new PC. The operating system version doesn't matter
