Desktop client connection issues Onedrive for Business

I<m getting a neverending discovery sequence occurring when certain users log in to their Onedrive for business account. The issue is not the account since they have online web access. It<s also not a specific machine since different users on the same machine are working. I don<t know it<s not a profile spec ific issue although blowing the profile off the machine and recreating it does not seem to fix the issue.

Where is this stuff logged? I<m trying to see if I can confirm an error condition given this behaviour.

    Hi,

What kind of account did you use to sign in OneDrive?

Could you provide the detail error message here?

I suggest you check if you have different OneDrive apps in PC.

If yes, try to open another OneDrive and check if the account can sign in.

Please be a bit more precise to explain your problem or you can upload a screenshot so that I can get more accurate solutions to this problem. I’m glad to help and follow up your reply.

    Hello @Bradley Bird,

complementary to what @Emi Zhang-MSFT has already reported, it may be a synchronization problem in the application. It is possible to reset the Microsoft OneDrive Desktop app. This will reset the settings, but the data will not be lost. After a successful reset, OneDrive performs a full synchronization.

How to reset the Microsoft OneDrive Desktop App:

    1. Press the [Windows key] and [R] keys
    2. The "Run" window will open
    3. Copy and paste the path below into the dialog box. Click on "OK

    %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset

If the message "... could not be found. Make sure you typed the name correctly and try again" appears, copy the following path instead and paste it into the dialog box. Click "OK

    C:\Programs\Microsoft OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset

If the message "... could not be found. Make sure you typed the name correctly and try again" appears, copy the following path instead and paste it into the dialog box. Click "OK

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset

    1. Then manually restart the Microsoft OneDrive desktop app.

If this is helpful, please accept the answer. Thank you.
