Cannot open OneNote

I cannot open OneNote, the error message is: "We're sorry. OneNote is cleaning up from the last time it was open. Please wait."

Any ideas about this issue?

    What kind of device did you use to open the OneNote?

    I suggest you try to clear the temp files cached in the folder below and see if there will be any improvement:

    C:\users\%userprofile%\appdata\local\TEMP
