Word keeps not responding when I try to edit or save a document

Question

When ever I try to change a font size, save etc word keeps not responding.

Did you use the default font?

What version of Office did you use?

Did this problem only appear in Word?

Did this problem appear in all Word documents?

Did you get any error message?

I suggest you check if this problem also appear in Excel or other Office programs.

Create a new document in desktop and check if this issue is still existed.

Then you can open document in safe mode running the following command: Press Win + R, type "winword /safe" in the blank box, press Enter. If it works fine in safe mode, please check the add-ins in Word and disable them.

Which version of Word are you running? Which operating system?

Is a single document affected or can you reproduce this in any document in Word?
