    Hi,

    Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

    It's very simple and seems you have got the right software to connect the azure vm from mac. I suspect you are unable to connect only due to network or firewall block. Also pls check if the VM is powered on and able to reach from your network and is whitelisted if you are trying to connect from a corp network.

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform, thanks for posting your query here.

    Adding to previous response of Vinod, make sure the Azure VM is ON.

    And use this link (https://ping.eu/port-chk/) to check if the public IP of the Azure VM on RDP port is accessible from your Mac.

    If the Public IP is not accessible then check your NSG to see if there is any rule that is blocking the connection. Add inbound rule and check again once.

    Also, make sure there are no other NSG's that are impacting the subnet of the VM where this port is blocked.
