I have successfully added my work account to the Microsoft Authenticator app. When i click on 'Set up phone sign-in' it confirms (green tick) that the device is registered and that screen lock has been set. Upon selecting 'Continue' i get the prompt to verify my sign in, which also works, and then i get the attached screen 'We ran into an error' 'Sorry, we couldn't add your account right now. Please try again later' .. Failed to set up phone sign-in, Failed to set-up notification approvals, Failed to set up one-time password codes etc. Any solutions?

Hi Michael, unfortunately not. IT cannot figure out the issue either. I have removed the account, uninstalled app, rebooted mobile and installed and added account again from scratch and i still get the same screen page with failures. Thankfully it still allows me to use the app to authenticate using the codes, but very annoying that we cannot figure out what is causing the above.

    Hi,

I run exactly in this same error, but the strange thing is that while I'm able to configure passwordless access on my working phone, I can't on my personal phone.

I'm using a work account and everything on the personal phone is compliant, I already did a factory reset, have no particular configuration, given any possible authorization to the MS authenticator app.

everything works, eccept the ability to configure passwordless access.

any idea? of course I can't configure anything or see any configuration on the Entra Admin Center because it's up to my company, but when I opened a ticket they said there's nothing against the ability to activate it on a personal phone.

    any idea?
