hi - i have 2 directories in my azure portal. i can log into one and i can see the other but cannot switch to it, because i removed that account from the authenticator app on my phone (i know, silly) and it is set up to require mfa. trouble is, there are resources in this directory that are costing me money and i have no way of stopping this. i am the sole owner/admin of this setup. is there any way around this or do i have to pay microsoft a sum of money every month forever for a resource i can't access or use?

If you are the only global admin on the account and are blocked entirely, you can reach out to the Azure Data Protection team to restore access. 866-807-5850

Also, for the future, you can create an emergency access account (break glass) in Azure AD. This account will help prevent being accidentally locked out of your Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) organization because you can't sign in for any reason. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/roles/security-emergency-access

@Aylmer Carson Apologies for the trouble regarding this issue, wanted to check if you have a got chance to contact our Global support team to get the case created with our data protection team to start with, if you have the case created do share the case number with us so that I can track internally and fast track the process for you.

If you have any further questions, feel free to post back.
