Windows 11 22H2 Windows Update failed

Question

After the computer is upgraded from Windows 10 to WIndows 11 22H2, the monthly system hotfix update cannot be performed normally, and the same situation also occurs after a new installation of Windows 11 22H2.

After testing in various ways; if it is found that the system is updated, execute the "Windows Update" troubleshooting first. If a Windows Update problem is detected, it will be displayed to correct the problem.

Then restart the system, log in to the system and directly execute the "Windows Update" action, and the system can be updated normally!

Installing Windows 11 21H2 on the same computer can update the hotfix normally.

How to fix the problem that Windows 11 22H2 cannot directly execute Windows Update (not a case, all computers with 22H2 installed in the company have this situation!!!)

Open Command Prompt as Admin and type the following commands one by one and press Enter after each:

net stop wuauserv

net stop cryptSvc

net stop bits

net stop msiserver

ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 catroot2.old

net start wuauserv

net start cryptSvc

net start bits

net start msiserver

Close the Command Prompt and try running Windows Update again.

Check Windows Update Logs: If the issue persists, you can check the Windows Update logs for more specific error messages. The logs are located in the "C:\Windows\Logs\WindowsUpdate" folder.

The solution provided was the first one I used to deal with the problem, but it didn't fix the Windows update problem.

In fact, all the solutions that can be found on the Internet have been tried, but none of them can solve the Windows 11 22H2 Windows update problem.

By chance, I found that the method of posting can temporarily update the system hotfix. But after updating for a period of time, the same problem of not being able to update still appeared, so I posted a post on the forum to ask for help.
