I want to use a Powerpoint slide as a menu to open some video files. When I insert a link to an mp4 video, every time a popup warning 'some files can contain viruses etc .... be certain this file is on a trustworthy source' is displayed. Although the path is correctly added to the 'trusted locations' in the trust center. The video starts without a problem when I click 'OK' after the warning, but of course I want it to open without these warnings. And it is odd that I can insert a link to an mp3 file or a jpg file (which are located on the same path) and these files are opened without previous warning messages. I don't undertand, so if anyone can advise for this situation I would be grateful!

2 things: the video files are with H.264 AVC codec and they are played correctly when I continue after the OK button on the trusted location popup, so the codec is not the problem.
secondly the trusted location warning is not given when I open a jpg or an mp3 file, therefore the source must be a trusted location.
So I am still looking for a solution that will not show the warning popup about the trusted location each time I try to open an mp4 video.
Additional information: when I copy everything to my laptop, also Windows 11 and Office 365, there is no problem, I didn't even have to change the trusted locations. So the problem is probably not in Powerpoint settings but elsewhere.

This response does not address the question. I have the same issue and need help. No matter what I' do with the trusted sources I get the same warning message. Please help.
