On 4 august 2023, I created a compute instance in the West Europe region with the following specifications:

  • Virtual machine size: Standard_DS11_v2 (2 cores, 14 GB RAM, 28 GB disk)
  • Compute type: Compute instance

When attempting to create a compute instance in the Azure Machine Learning Worpsace it fails and the giving error is:
Provisioning error
An internal server error occurred. If the problem persists, contact support.

And in Logs:
Failed to load files
ParentNotFound: The specified parent path does not exist. RequestId:f6d48a68-501a-0061-3828-c9659c000000 Time:2023-08-07T12:10:30.9947769Z.

I have followed the recommended steps to resolve this issue, including checking the configuration and trying various approaches, but without success. I seek assistance in identifying and resolving this issue so that I can successfully utilize my compute instance.

If you require more information about the configuration or the steps taken, please let me know. Thank you for your assistance!
