How to use local installation of OpenJDK when installing Xamarin in Visual Studio Professional 2022?

I am attempting to install Xamarin on a network which blocks 'https://aka.ms/download-jdk/microsoft-jdk-11.0.16.1-windows-x64.msi'. I don't have any permissions on this network. I am allowed to download OpenJDK manually and would like to complete the Xamarin installation with this local copy of OpenJDK.

I have seen some articles/forums on how to update the JDK AFTER Xamarin is installed, but since the installation failed, I have no tools or options for Xamarin within Visual Studio. Is there a way to continue the Xamarin installation with my local copy of OpenJDK?

    Hello,

After testing in Visual Studio Installer, Xamarin will not install successfully if you cancel OpenJDK from Individual Component when installing Xamarin.

For issues related to this Visual Studio installation component, it is recommended that you publish this issue to Developer Community.

    Best Regards,

    Alec Liu.
