Microsoft 365 - Outlook Application -Cannot add text in accepted Calendar event

Hi all,

I used to be able to add text notes, which only I could see, inside calendar events which I accepted in Outlook. However, since the latest Microsoft 365 update, Version 2307 (Build 16626.20170), all of a sudden, the body area of an accept calendar event is not editable.

Was this option removed as part of the latest update as I cannot find such removed feature in the feature list? Is someone else experiencing the same issue I am having please?

How can I re-enable this feature to be able to add text and save it?

Thanks in advance

    Hi Sruthi,

I had done all of the steps you mentioned before submitting this in the forums. Also, Office 365 does not have the option to revert to a previous version.

    But thanks anyways.

Same issue and Sruthi T S's suggested solutions do NOT resolve the problem.

    Hi @Jesmond Navarro

    Sorry for the late reply.

According to my research, it seemed to be a known issue caused by the recent update, which mentioned that The meeting is now read only for the recipient. It is no longer possible to make changes to the body of the meeting or to attach files to the meeting. If you need to keep notes on the meeting, consider these alternate solutions:

    Hi @Jesmond Navarro

Agree with @Andy Wong , current workaround is to remove the recent outlook update.

Sorry for the bad experience, someone has submitted this feedback in the dedicated portal, you can visit this link for updates.

So many of Microsoft's updates are less effective and efficient. :( What used to be common sense processes are being removed! i.e. Stream - no longer can edit!
