I have SharePoint 2019 and running and connected to Office Online Server. I am getting message for Excel file Preview says "We can't show a preview of this item." Excel_Preview

This is only happening for all excel files. All other office related files(word, ppt) are working fine and even Excel file opening fine in OOS browser and able to edit in the browser but only Excel preview not working.

Also check OOS ULS logs but nothing found relevant.

Is it something limitation with excel preview? Please suggest.

    Hi,

I suggest you remove the binding between WFE and OWA and bind again, please refer to this article:

    https://vathzi.wordpress.com/2016/02/29/the-server-did-not-respond-trying-again-attempt-1-of-5/

After rebinding, just checking in to see if the information was helpful. Please let us know if you would like further assistance.

I further gone to more details and found that the SP web application extended to Internet zone and published to internet.

So excel preview working with internet URL and preview not working with internal URL but very strange that word and ppt preview working with internal url.
