Hello Team,

Hope all of you are doing well and will be doing good.

As all aware that Android phones have capability to share SSID (any Wi-Fi) details via QR codes and this QR codes store SSID details so any other android and iPhone device can just scan this code and able to connect wifi.

Actually this is concern over corporate office Wi-Fi Regarding Android mobile + Company Portal + Wi-Fi Sharing via QR Code

currently using Android Enterprise personally owned devices with a work profile (BYOD) method.

How to Disable or restrict Wi-Fi sharing via QR code in Android device using Intune ?

Person A get an official Approval and get his mobile configuration done by IT Person.

Mobile Device ( Samsung A14 with Android 13 ) enrolled in Intune Company Portal process which create personal profile and work profile and mobile get successfully connected to XYZABC ( xyzabc is office Wi-Fi).

Now question raised any random person (who dont even have company account-none authorized) come who have Android and iPhone device simply ask Person A to share Wi-Fi via QR Code and now this random guy will just scan this QR code and able to connect/access this XYZABC Wi-Fi without any type of configuration !!

Request all of you to share your expert advice and best possible suggestion to avoid this.

@Ashish Darji, Thanks for posting in Q&A. Based on my researching, I didn't find there's no such setting in Intune can disable WiFi sharing via QR code. Then I go to check in Android MDM and find there's no such setting can control "WiFi sharing via QR code". You can feedback to Google to request the feature.

Note: Non-Microsoft link, just for the reference.

For your situation, you can change your WiFI authentication to certificate authentication to avoid sharing.

Hope the above information can help.
