Cannot install teams in iMac 2019, Installer says update despite Teams is uninstalled

Good morning

After MS Teams not starting several times, I decided to uninstall the app, following the instructions in this forum (see https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msteams/forum/all/how-to-completely-remove-teams-from-mac/2499239d-d491-43cb-a9c1-acbee7223b8d)

Then, I tried to install again but each time I do two things happen :

  1. The installer says that I am updating the app (see screenshot, my OS is in POR), when in fact I had already uninstalled it completely
  2. After I select continue I get an error message e installation failed. The installer encountered an error that caused the installation fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance (see screenshot, my OS is in POR).

If someone has a solution for this, I would be extremely grateful! Thank you!

    Hi @OLIVEIRA Andre

Based on your description, we commend check if Teams uninstall completely firstly. If it doesn't, you could uninstall Teams Client and clear cache by follow the document. And then, check hardware requirements for Teams on a Mac.

    555

Next, desktop clients can be downloaded and installed by end users directly from https://teams.microsoft.com/downloads if you have the appropriate local permissions. Finally, you could try using the web version: https://teams.microsoft.com/.

    Good morning

The iMac 2019 21'' that I work with matches all the specs mentioned in your email.

Plus, and following the document you sent, I went to the MacOS settings and Teams is not in any of them.

I also tested the terminal command to clear cache (suggested in another reply to my post) and the answer I got was file not found in the system.

As far as I can see Teams is no longer in this computer, and still I cannot install it.

Nevertheless, thank you so much for your help!
