Do we need msdn subscription with visual studio on mac?

Hello,

Just read this article of visual studio retiring on mac. Does that mean if we are buying msdn subscription only for visual studio then there is no need of buying it after August 31, 2024 because we are going to use vscode on mac.

We know there are other benefits of visual studio(previously msdn) subscription but, there is no need of it specifically for visual studio. Am I correct here?

VS for Mac, VS and VS Code are three different products. VS Code is free for private or commercial use, see Visual Studio Code license for details.

This is the license for C# Dev Kit for Visual Studio Code extension and there are several scenarios(Installation and use rights). You may still need a valid license to use this extension.
