Hi All, I need a solution for allowing students to upload photos in a secure location like Sharepoint or onedrive where they can upload the photo but they dont have access to the other photos that students upload in the area?

The only solution I can think of is created all students a folder and setting permissions to that folder for that student and the teacher so that they can only see their folder which I have a script for however there is 1700 students rather than 20 or so. Would this be the best solution? Or is there something better you can suggest?

Here is a workaround for you refer to.

    Steps:

1.Create a new permission level. Go to Site permissions -> Permission Levels -> Click Edit permission -> Copy Permission Level -> Uncheck "Manage Lists  -  Create and delete lists, add or remove columns in a list, and add or remove public views of a list." -> Create.

    1

    2

2.Go to the Library settings -> Permissions for this document library -> Stop Inheriting Permissions -> Grant Permissions -> Grant students with newly created permission level.

3.Click Edit current view -> In the Filter section, set Created by is equal to [ME].

    User's image

4.Result: Logged-in users can only see pictures uploaded by themselves.

I'm glad to hear that the issue is solved and thanks for your sharing. To close the thread, I would make a brief summary of this thread.

[Uploading to location where student can only see their files]

    Issue Symptom:

    Current status:

OP solved this through Request files.

By the way, since the Microsoft Q&A community has a policy that "The question author cannot accept their own answer. They can only accept answers by others.".
