When a user selects New document I do not want the user to see an array of Microsoft templates. It needs to be templates created for the organization only.

Thank you for your thoughts. I did come to the following conclusions.
The Microsoft Office Templates that comes with Office cannot be changed. There used to be a setting to filter out Microsoft Office Templates but that is not currently available in the current version of Microsoft Office.

There remains the PERSONAL templates that you can use to place all the Organization templates into. The location of where those files reside can be changed in the

Word, Options, Advanced, General section, File Locations...WorkGroup Templates

The Workgroup Templates location could be mapped to a drive on the Server where the Organizations Templates are stored.

You could also map it to a SharePoint, Document Library that has all the Organizations Word Word templates.

If you have a SharePoint Document Library with all the templates you can use the Sync method to see the folder with all the contents in File Explorer. In File Explorer when you click on the Template file in the folder it will open as a document allowing you to use the Template without overriding the template.

SETTING TO SET

There is a regkey setting that will hide the Microsoft Office Templates from view when a person clicks on New.

They will see the Personal list. This personal list could contain all the Organizations templates. So it is easy to select an organizational template quickly. However if they wish they could click on the tab "Office" it is still available but not seen straight away.

The regkey in RegEdit is
