my outlook is not accepting a password for one of my email clients.

I have a problem with my email password for my Optimum online email. i get a message somethiggn went wrong and Outlook wants me to enter the password. When entered, Outlook doesn't recognze it. i do nto knwo how to fix the probelm. i rebooted the email - no help. i rebotoed the entire computer - no help. so now what do I do?

    Can you provide a screenshot of the pop-up window with the error message? Please be careful to override personal privacy.

    What type of account is added to Outlook (POP/IMAP/Exchange) ?

    What is Outlook version? Please make sure to update to the latest version.
