Hello!
I moved to V2 Azure AD Connect Sync on 9/22. The V1 syncer and its health monitoring agent have been uninstalled from the server. And I removed the monitored server from Azure AD connect health. After that the alert banner from the Azure AD connect health page was removed. But our admins still received an action required email yesterday, stating we were using a retired version of Entra Connect.
You're receiving this notice because your tenant uses Microsoft Entra Connect Sync V1.x (formerly Azure AD Connect Sync).
If this is a non issue and those alerts are slow to catch up, great. But I'm asking here in the event that I still have a problem to address, or if there are still some remnants of the sync tool that I missed.
Some more details about the upgrade process I went through if they are helpful here:
- The V1 sync tool was running on our primary DC running Server 2012 R2.
- The new V2 sync tool was installed on a new DC running Server 2022
- Settings were imported from the V1 sync tool to V2 tool, and it was started in staging mode.
- Once it was running, I switched the V1 tool to staging mode, then disabled staging mode for V2
- I installed the health monitoring service on the server with the V2 tool
- Then I uninstalled the V1 sync tool and removed the health monitoring service from the V1 server
That last step was done on 9/22.
Thank you for your help!
