How did my personal account suddenly prompt work/school login?

I can no longer log-in to my personal One Drive account on my PC, and get an error messages telling my that my account is linked to both a personal account and a work/school account.

Not sure how this link has happend, as I have never used my personal account when logging in to any of my work accounts, and the personal account existed years before I ever got any work accounts at all.

I can login to my One Drive online without any issues.

So how can I solve this mess, and unlink my personal account from a work account I do not know it's connected to?

    Hi,

I suggest you try this method to remove the cached Office account identities from the registry:

    1.    Start Registry Editor.

    2.    Locate the following registry subkey:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity

    3.    Right-click Identity, and then select Delete

Then you can re-sign in the OneDrive and checking in to see if the information was helpful. Please let us know if you would like further assistance.
