Expand VM disk

Hello,

I have reserved VM, and now i want to expand the disk with add more 50GB. And now i have some question :

Hello,

You must change your disk size to a predefined storage size provided by Azure.

Change the disk size:

Resize a managed disk in the Azure portal

Expand without downtime

Just to confirm, event the VM is reserved we still can expand the disk?

Currently the disk capacity is 500GB, and i can see on the size menu there are custom size, this mean we can enter what we want and not predefined size?

Hello Handian Sudianto,

Just to add to the above what Dillon Silzer already mentioned.

You will be charged the same rate for your provisioned disk/tier, regardless of how much of the disk space is being used For example, a 500 GiB disk is provisioned on a 512 GiB disk/S20 so you would be billed for the 512 GiB disk/S20.
