I have a pivot table in excel and I have made a line chart with it. When I save the excel file, close it and then open it again, the chart is no longer a pivot chart but a simple one. How can I keep it to a pivot chart?

    Hi,

To ensure that your chart remains a pivotchart, you can follow the steps below-

    1. Save the Excel workbook in the .xlsx format.
    2. Avoid saving your workbook as a web page if you intend to preserve the PivotChart.
    3. Missing data sources can cause the chart to lose its pivot functionality. So if your PivotChart relies on external data sources or connections, ensure that these data sources are accessible when you reopen the file.
    4. Try updating your Excel to the latest version if it's not already updated.

    Best Regards.

    Hi,

What kind of data source did you use?

How did you create the PivotChart, create the chart from PivotTable directly or create from the data source table?

I suggest you check the file format when you save the Workbook.

Then try to create a new PivotChart from data source table in desktop and check if this issue still exists.

Please be a bit more precise to explain your problem or you can upload a screenshot so that I can get more accurate solutions to this problem. I’m glad to help and follow up your reply.
