Why won't my 365 Family Subscription allow me more than 15GB of Outlook storage when it should be 50GB?

I have a Microsoft 365 Family Subscription with another account and shared it with my main account. The main account won't give me the full 50GB Outlook storage. It's holding the maximumn.at 15GB and won't let me send or receive email until I reduce the storage to below 15GB.
