How to enable Add-Ins on Excel

Question

I need to use the Data Analysis function to do homework. It was working fine a week ago. But today when I opened my homework, the Data Analysis button is greyed out, I took a look, and the Analysis ToolPak is installed and enabled. However, the whole Add-ins function is disabled.

I have Googled some solutions and checked my privacy settings, and the Trust center settings for the Add-ins and Trusted locations (see below). I logged in with a student email account and am not the admin. What went wrong and how can I fix it??

Did you install any updates recently?

Did you open a new Workbook?

I suggest you check if you open the Workbook in safe mode, you can try to create a new Workbook with .xlsx file format in desktop.
