Font licensing question

Hi,

I have been unable to find definitive answers to questions about font licenses. Our company has an extensive Office license and our laptops come pre-installed with the two fonts I'm interested in: Nirmala UI and Selawik. As I understand it, Selawik is completely free and Nirmala UI is free in most cases (we would need a license if used on a website)? What if we would like to use Nirmala in our own software?

Thanks for any help!

If you right-click on a font, choose the Properties, then view the Details tab, you can see the details about the font owner, creator and license.
