Outlook changed my default calendar folder and removed all meeting categories

My main calendar folder is "Agenda", where all my meetings are stored in. Suddenly (after only putting my laptop to hibernate and traveling home), I have a new calendar folder called "Calendar" which turns out to be the new default folder. This within the same account (so two folders in one data file).

  • New meetings are suddenly stored into this new folder "Calendar"
  • My main folder "Agenda" still has all my meetings, but all categories are lost
  • The categories are also not stored anymore in my settings (it's been reset to the default categories)

I want to 1) setup "Agenda" as my default folder again, 2) delete the folder "Calendar" (which is not possible because it is currently the default), and nice-to-have 3) retrieve the assigned categories to my meetings.

    Hi @Olivia The ,

    Welcome to our forum!

Did you configure several accounts in one Outlook profile?

As i know, the default calendar for an account is generally named "Calendar" and the name cannot be changed. It's suggested that you could create a new Outlook profile (Control Panel>Mail>Show Profiles>add) and add your account to check if the default calendar is correct and if the categories of calendar events persist.
