Hello,

We are using SCCM 2303 version and we have total 4500+ devices. We can deploy application and other things but unfortunately we cannot deploy Software Update. Sometimes the update deployed properly when we try to deploy update on three or four devices. But When we try to deploy update around 100 or 200 devices, the update not deploy properly.

We have a proxy server and client using this proxy to communicate internet. We bypassed SCCM URL but we got the error HTTP 404 server not found.

When we check the client device and reset the proxy, the update install properly on that time but we have use this proxy. So, my issues I listed below. Please give me any suggestion to fix these. Thanks in advance.

  1. I deployed feature update in 2 collections where collection1 has one device and collection2 has 6 device. The update installed successfully in collection1 but not in collection2. When I reset the proxy from client machines, the update installed successfully and in collection1's device has also proxy and I didn't need to reset the proxy to install update on that machine.
  2. Around 2000+ devices cannot scan update properly.
  3. I deployed Cumulative Update on 46 devices where 32 devices compliant now but rest of the devices showing error. The error is the same HTTP 404 server not found but all 46 devices are using same proxy, same subnet, same network policy. I deployed it 1 month ago but the result still same.
  4. Some devices are showing pending restart but We restarted all the devices many time and the issue still remains same.
  5. Some devices are showing the update installed successfully but when I check the update in client machines' view installed update location, I see that the update is not showing and the update is also not showing in software center.

I posted earlier in the forum but some one told me it's a proxy issue. I believe it's proxy issue but I have the doubt that, all the devices not facing this issue but almost 70% devices facing the issue. If the issue is in my proxy side then please suggest me how can I identify that this is my proxy issue. I don't need to troubleshoot in proxy server, I just need to identify that it's a proxy issue or network issue. Another important thing is that I can browse the url http://sccmserver.domain.com:8530 after bypassed the url in proxy.
