Hi all

I have application protection policy deployed for iOS and Android, I have the same setting for both and they are working as expected except the android users are not able to open pdf form outlook app

they got an error saying this action is blocked by your organization

my setting:

Under Apps/public apps I have Adobe acrobat reader

and Custom apps I have com.adobe.reader.intune

Under Data transfer/Send org data to other apps set to Policy managed apps

The last option when set to (all apps) the user was able to open the pdf no problem but this is not an issue for iOS policy

what can I do to fix this with keeping the option to Policy managed apps only?

thanks, in advanced.

@Saif Almodares, Thanks for posting in Q&A. For our issue, it seems the Adobe Acrobat Reader is not considered as a policy managed app. So the file open with this app is blocked.

To check on our issue, please firstly check if there's any app protection policy applied to Adobe Acrobat Reader on the affected device under Intune diagnostics log:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/mem/intune/app-protection-policies/troubleshoot-app-protection-policy-deployment#step-6-collect-device-data-with-microsoft-edge

If no, please redeploy the Adobe Acrobat Reader app via Intune to see if the policy can be applied.

If the app protection policy has applied to the device, please check the Intune diagnostics log to see if the setting we configure is correctly applied to this device:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/apps/app-protection-policy-settings-log#android-app-protection-policy-settings

Please check the above information can if there's any update, feel free to let us know.
