Azure CDN Custom Domain verification email not sent/received

I've been trying to pre-verify a custom domain in Azure. I'm looking to roll out an Azure Edgio Standard CDN in front of my live website www.live-website.com and I have added the required cdnverify records

cdnverify.www.live-website.com CNAME to cdnverify.endpoint.azureeedge.net

The custom domain gets added, and then it gets stuck on this screen: User's image

I am looking at the administrator email account, but nothing is coming through. The site runs on www, so it's theoretically the only domain, I don't need to add the apex domain, but I need that email, so I don't have to have the site down for 8 hours to apply https.

Any ideas?

    @Gabor Ferencz

    Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thank you for reaching out & I hope you are doing well.

    I understand that you would like to add a custom domain to an Azure CDN and you were using a Verizon provider.

    We suggested you to send an email to AzCommunity[At]Microsoft[Dot]Com with the below details for one time free support.

    • Subject : Attn Kaananth | Azure CDN Custom Domain verification
    • Thread URL: Link to this thread.
    • Subscription ID : Subscription ID of the Azure CDN.

    The support team engaged the Verizon team and the issue has been resolved.

    Cheers,

    Kapil
