Edge browser managed by organisation problem

I have logged in with 2 accounts in Edge Browser. 1 is with my organisation account and 2nd is my personal account. But for both accounts Edge browser is showing me that the "Browser is managed by your organisation".

For organisation account it is ok if Edge Browser is showing this message (though my organisation says we are not managing it).
For personal account why it keeps showing me "Browser is managed by your organisation".

Hi @Atharva Diwan ,

Are you using Microsoft Edge at school or work?

If so, it might be managed, or set up and maintained, by your organization. The organization that manages this device can set up or restrict certain features, install and block extensions, monitor activity, and control how you use it.

You could go to "edge://policy" first to check if there are any policies configured by your organization.

My organisation is saying that they are not managing it.

Hi @Atharva Diwan ,

Are there any policies shown on the "edge://policy" page? Could you please share a screenshot of the "edge://policy" page for further investigation?
It is also possible that some installed extensions or antivirus created or modified an Edge browser policy in Registry or Group Policy.

Hi @Atharva Diwan ,

According to the screenshot, there is a policy under Microsoft Edge Policies, even though it is blank.
Please follow the steps below to check if there is a policy set in the Registry settings:

Type "regedit" in the search box on the taskbar, then Select "Registry Editor".

Navigate to "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge"

Check if there is any folder. You could right-click and delete it if there is any folder set. and then check if the issue persists.

Please try to run this command gpupdate /force, and then check if the issue persists.

Hi @Atharva Diwan ,

According to this error message, you need to consult with your IT administrator for more help.

Also, please go to "edge://policy" page, click the "Reload Policies" and check if the policy is deleted successfully.
