    Hello @keith smith

    Thanks for using Q & A forum.

    You can delete your account from the Microsoft Authenticator app, and you can delete your device from your work or school account. Typically you delete your device to permanently remove a lost, stolen, or old device from your account, and you delete your account to try to fix some connection issues or to address an account change, such as a new user name.

    To delete your account from the Microsoft Authenticator app

    From the Microsoft Authenticator app, select the account you want to delete, then select Settings   and Remove account.

    Follow this instructions

    @Keith Smith

    Thank you for posting this in Microsoft Q&A.

    In this situation you will have to contact your global admin of your tenant and get the MFA settings reset so that you can re-register your account in Authenticator app in new phone.

    If you are the only admin to your tenant and if you do not have access to your Entra ID, then you can reach out to the Azure Data Protection team to restore access. 866-807-5850. This team can help you in

    Also, for the future, you can create an emergency access account (break glass) in Azure AD. This account will help prevent being accidentally locked out of your Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) organization because you can't sign in for any reason.
