Microsoft Project supports real-time collaboration, but only one person can make changes at a time, SharePoint can indicate whether a file is currently controlled or locked by another user. Confirm that you have the necessary permissions to edit documents in the library, If you have the necessary permissions, you may be able to uncheck out the file and edit the file. Make sure versioning is enabled for the document library in SharePoint. If you are using SharePoint Online, you can check the document for locks. Check co-authoring settings for Microsoft Project files in SharePoint As an extreme alternative, try clearing the SharePoint cache or opening the site in an incognito or private window

    Hi @Marut Mahajan ,

I agree with what LUCA PERRONE said. Make sure you have the necessary permissions to edit the documents in the library. You can also make a few attempts:

1.First I suggest you if possible could you please go to Site Settings -> Site Collection Features > deactivate "Limited-access user permission lockdown mode" to check the outcome.Image

2.Check whether the file has the check-out function enabled. If it is turned on, please turn off the check-out function.

Go to SharePoint library settings, clicking on versioning settings and under "Require check-out" check and select No. And when Draft Item Security is set to Any user who who can read items.Image

Besides, you can check the following article to see if it will help: SharePoint files open as read-only - SharePoint | Microsoft Docs
