How to fix TraceID: fNCgWoO7qEiBmCkL.6.79 error when trying to access bitlocker recovery keys

After my PC randomly crashed and gave me a blue screen saying I had to go to Microsoft and get my recovery keys, I went to the website listed, and after logging in, I got an error that said "TraceID: iDsXZU0f8kSOEVhp.6.78

Something happened. Wait a bit, then try again. If this issue persists, contact us." After that I clicked contact us, but after thoroughly searching all the pages related to Bitlocker and Bitlocker recovery keys, I found nothing. After that, I waited a day and then after seeing that the page was still giving me the same error, I went to the community support page. After that, I was told the problems with Bitlocker are beyond the scope of the regular Microsoft community support, and that I should go here. So if anyone could help or provide more information about what is going on, it would be much appreciated.

(By the way, as I was about to post this I noticed the traceid changed to iDsXZU0f8kSOEVhp.7.67 I don't know if this is of any importance but I figured I might as well share it)

    I understand that you're running into a blue screen on your PC asking you to retrieve your BitLocker recovery key(s) and you're having issues after logging into the webpage that you were redirected to.

    To hopefully help point you in the right direction, if you're leveraging Azure Disk Encryption, you can retrieve your BitLocker recovery keys and unlock your encrypted disk through a couple of methods.

    If you aren't using Azure Disk Encryption, can you share some more information below:

    • Are you BitLocker recovery keys stored within MS Entra ID or the Azure Key Vault?
    • Is your PC joined to MS Entra ID or Intune?
    • Can you share a screenshot of what you're seeing?
