Question

How to make an email read? I have clicked on an email multiple times, but it still shows an unread status. The display of unread emails in the inbox is very troublesome.

The web version of the feature bar has marked all options as read.

Does this problem occur on the client side or on the web side?

If the problem exists on the client side, check the settings of the Reading Pane:

Select File > Options > Advanced. Under Outlook panes, select Reading Pane.

You can change how quickly messages are marked as read or change how and when messages are marked as read, then see if the changes take effect.

If the issue continues, it is recommended that you create a new profile.
